OzU aspires to rank among top universities of the world in the field of architecture through its Undergraduate Architecture Program that welcome its first students in the 2012-2013 academic year. Designed as a flexible program teaching how to learn, providing problem-solving skills, and promoting creative thinking, Özyeğin University Undergraduate Architecture Program aims to cultivate multi-dimensional and competitive architectures that are able to integrate art with technology, and reflect their intuitions and emotions to their designs; and are well-aware that their designs will be applied in the real world. Through its strong focus on the intersection of architecture and other disciplines; and its devotion to preparing entrepreneurial architectures, OzU will also make a difference in the field of architecture.

Industrial Design profession aims to solve people’s problems, improve their quality of lives and make life more enjoyable with the design and development of innovative products, services and systems. Analyzing users’ existing experiences, improving broken experiences and proposing new user experiences lie at the core of this profession. A wide range of products, services and systems that we use everyday are results of such efforts. These include the CocaCola bottle that became a brand icon, Sony Walkman which changed the music listening practice and Apple iPhone that redefined the our interaction with phones.

As being founded within the Faculty of Architecture and Design for the first time in Turkey, the Department of Communication Design offers a four year undergraduate program that aims at understanding of the principles, theories, and the practice of communication design with the goal of conveying ideas and information consisting of image, text, and sound in the most efficient form. Encompassing areas such as information architecture, interactive interface design, multi-media applications, a new generation of communication technologies, and interactive exhibition systems, this program is in mutual support with other departments in the faculty.

The Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Program offered by the Ozyegin University Faculty of Architecture and Design aspires to prepare its graduates as interior architects who place a high emphasis on environmental, social and economical sustainability, applying the sustainability concepts not only in spatial design, products and materials but in all of their design and production processes. The aim of the program is to advance design knowledge and skills through rigorous research into environmental, social and technological contexts, through theoretical and applied explorations, and through the formulation of experimental, critical and creative perspectives for producing better living spaces.
