The study of economics explains how people make choices and helps us understand societal, business-related and global issues. Economics is a particularly useful major in today's ever-changing global job market. A degree in economics provides problem-solving and analytical skills, which are applicable in many professions and careers. The goal of the program is to understand the decisions of businesses and consumers as well as the implications and causes of economic issues. The Economics Faculty at Özyeğin University is committed to delivering first-class undergraduate and graduate programs and to producing high quality economics research.

Entrepreneurship

The program endeavors to equip students with the necessary education and capabilities to find and assess potential business opportunities, and turn them into marketable and sustainable economic products and services and thus create new business and employment opportunities. Aiming to increase the awareness of students in entrepreneurship, the program will not only present students with ample opportunities and facilities to gain and/or develop entrepreneurship skills but also will also teach them entrepreneurial behavior, attitude and capabilities.

International Trade and Business

Özyeğin University has launched its International Trade and Business program, with an ambitious goal of educating tomorrow’s global experts who would meet the demands and the challenges of the international business world. The program’s main focus is to provide its students with the necessary skills and tools to become competitive in a highly globalized world. The program requires students choose a region of expertise, where the students will become familiar with the region’s social structure, its language and more importantly its business practices. To have a hands-on experience, the department encourages students to have internship or continue their education in prestigious companies, universities or institutions in their selected regions of expertise.

The Undergraduate Management Information Systems program aims to cultivate top-notch graduates who are able to satisfy the needs of businesses for creating, storing, accessing and sharing information who possess highly advanced skills and competences to plan, design, put in place and manage the necessary methods, processes and systems required to meet such information needs for either corporate businesses or for their own ventures and who are capable of identifying, fulfilling and managing such needs by conducting technical, economic and strategic analyses.

Computer Science

Technology has become an indispensable part of our lives, and in fact we have become addicted to technology. This may give the impression that we are now in command of technology and science more than ever before. But how accurate is it? There is a danger pertinent to technology addiction: it may limit thinking, invention, and creativity, and eventually weaken the power of science and technology production. Thus, the mission of a faculty of engineering should be to transform our youth from technology users to technology creators in the vast ocean of technology. Engineers we foster must know that at least half of the knowledge and skills they need to create the mobile phone they hold in their hands actually rests in their own minds. Their grounded self-confidence and accumulation of knowledge is surely to make a difference in their future entrepreneurial pursuits and their accession to the academic world through scientific production.

The missions of the Department of Mechanical Engineering are to educate effective engineers and scientists with an entrepreneurial and researcher's spirit, who are equipped with fundamental scientific and technical knowledge and ability to use modern technologies which are essential in the design and development of new theories and technologies for the realization of the devices, systems and processes needed by the society and the industry, and to conduct fundamental and applied research in collaboration with the industry and other institutions to reach new information needed by the society and essential for the design and production of advanced technological products and processes.

Civil Engineering
Faculty of Engineering

Özyeğin University (ÖzÜ) Civil Engineering Department was founded in the academic year 2012 - 2013 and gave its first graduates in 2016. As of 2019, there are 11 faculty members conducting research and teaching in the fields of structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, earthquake engineering, construction management, and construction materials. Department of Civil Engineering at ÖzÜ aims to educate civil engineers who follow, apply and develop new technological advancements, in terms of both design and implementation, and capable of working in different geographies. As being a research-oriented university, ÖzÜ offers Master and Doctorate programs in the Civil Engineering Department as well as the undergraduate program.

Psychology

The mission of the Özyeğin University Psychology Program is to contribute to the solution of social problems by transferring psychological knowledge produced by its dynamic and competent faculty members to every aspect of life and produce new psychologists to work in the theoretical and practical domains of psychology. We aim to offer universal education by taking into account new developments in the realm of psychology as well as the needs of the country; and nurture a learning and practice environment for our students to put their professional knowledge and skills into practice and further their academic and personal development.

International Relations
Faculty of Social Sciences

Our department is a leading regional research and teaching center with a renowned niche for policy interaction. Our mission is to offer our students a rigorous international and comparative perspective on the contemporary global system, to foster their analytical thinking about complex global problems, and to equip them with cross-cultural understanding and language expertise. Our department launched its BA program in Fall 2013, which has become one of the best International Relations programs in Turkey. Our faculty holds doctoral and other post-graduate degrees from renowned universities in the United States and Europe and has several years of professional experience in teaching and research at universities abroad as well as at leading institutions in Turkey.

Professional Flight
Faculty of Aviation and Aeronautical Sciences

Students who successfully complete the English Language Preparatory Program are entitled to start their 4-year Undergraduate Professional Flight Program. Academic courses, as well as theoretical ground training, will be delivered by the Özyeğin University Undergraduate Professional Flight Program, while flight training will be offered by AYJET Anatolian Stars Flight Training Organization as per the Academic Cooperation Protocol signed between Özyeğin and AYJET. Our graduates will also be qualified for the Pilot License (ATPL) issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM).

The Undergraduate Aviation Management Program takes pride in its rich curriculum, designed to build a strong foundation in both management and aviation through a series of major and core courses. The program’s comprehensive curriculum introduces students to the realm of management and aviation, equipping them with in-depth knowledge and advanced skills required in both fields. The Undergraduate Aviation Management Program is also enriched with a diverse set of electives in different disciplines, giving students the opportunity to specialize in their areas of interest. Adopting a truly international vision, the program also aspires to provide international exchange and internship opportunities to students with distinguished academic records.

Özyeğin University Faculty of Law is a young faculty with its dynamic and dedicated faculty members founded with the Resolution No: 2011/1315 of the Council of Ministers as per Supplementary Article 30 of the Law No: 2809 dated 07.01.2011. Our expert faculty members and visiting professors feel proud, enthusiastic and thrilled to have founded a high-standard, multi-dimensional and diversified faculty of law. Our well-educated, young faculty members aim to prepare our students with both conventional law courses and a wide array of major contemporary sub-specialty areas, which are not offered in many of the other faculties of law.

Through its strong focus on the intersection of architecture and other disciplines; and its devotion to preparing entrepreneurial architectures, OzU will also make a difference in the field of architecture.

Industrial Design
Faculty of Architecture and Design

Industrial Design profession aims to solve people’s problems, improve their quality of lives and make life more enjoyable with the design and development of innovative products, services and systems. Analyzing users’ existing experiences, improving broken experiences and proposing new user experiences lie at the core of this profession. A wide range of products, services and systems that we use everyday are results of such efforts. These include the CocaCola bottle that became a brand icon, Sony Walkman which changed the music listening practice and Apple iPhone that redefined the our interaction with phones.

Communication Design
Faculty of Architecture and Design

As being founded within the Faculty of Architecture and Design for the first time in Turkey, the Department of Communication Design offers a four year undergraduate program that aims at understanding of the principles, theories, and the practice of communication design with the goal of conveying ideas and information consisting of image, text, and sound in the most efficient form. Encompassing areas such as information architecture, interactive interface design, multi-media applications, a new generation of communication technologies, and interactive exhibition systems, this program is in mutual support with other departments in the faculty.

Interior Architecture and Design

The Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Program offered by the Ozyegin University Faculty of Architecture and Design aspires to prepare its graduates as interior architects who place a high emphasis on environmental, social and economical sustainability, applying the sustainability concepts not only in spatial design, products and materials but in all of their design and production processes. The aim of the program is to advance design knowledge and skills through rigorous research into environmental, social and technological contexts, through theoretical and applied explorations, and through the formulation of experimental, critical and creative perspectives for producing better living spaces.

Gastronomy and Culinary Arts
School of Applied Sciences

The Undergraduate Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Program is designed for students who aspire to have careers in the fields of gastronomy, culinary arts, and restaurant management. Offering a rich curriculum integrated with restaurant management, the program is the first of its kind in Turkey. The program provides a solid foundation in the field of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts with its theoretical and practical foundation courses, while offering a comprehensive education with its courses on advanced culinary techniques and restaurant management. During the four-year period of study, students have the opportunity to put their theoretical gastronomy knowledge to work in their practical classes.

Hotel Management
School of Applied Sciences

The Undergraduate Hotel Management Program is a four-year business administration and technology-based program established by the Department of Hotel Management at the School of Applied Sciences at Özyeğin University with the goal of ranking among the world’s most renowned programs. Today, the program takes pride in being the first of its kind in Turkey. High level cooperation with the hospitality sector is a top priority for our Department of Hotel Management. In line with its commitment to forging new collaborations, our department, has to date, signed several memorandums of understanding with the leading hospitality institutions. The first memorandum of understanding (MoU) was awarded in 2009 with the Swissôtel Hotels and Resorts, followed by new MoUs signed with The Marmara Collection Group in 2012, and with Accor Hotels Turkey, and TÜROB in 2019 respectively. These alliances have vested our Undergraduate Hotel Management Program students with opportunities to complete their internships in partner hospitality institutions in different cities and countries, and have preferential treatment in screening and recruitment for open positions following their graduation.
